About Us

Dale Riley
Has been racing since 1982 and has held many prestigious race titles in his
district and state.  Dale has many years of experience in racing, moto transfer,
rules, safety requirements, and can truly relate to both the kids and the adults
since he still races frequently. Dale is passionate about BMX and his tireless
commitment to the success of MBMX is one of the things that
inspires us to
perservere.

Dave Swingle
Came to Oklahoma from Colorado in the early 80's, where he had his first taste of
BMX racing.  Dave was one of the guys that  came into town and brought lots of
enthusiasm and knowledge of the sport with him.  He and Dale started the
conversation that became "Miami BMX."  Dave is a local business owner and has
his own construction company, Swingle Construction.  Dave is probably best
known as the voice of Miami BMX and is arguably one of the best announcers
around (yeah, we are a little partial).  Dave's passion and motivation is one of the
driving forces behind the heart and soul of MBMX.  Yeah, it probably doesn't hurt
that his son is pretty fast on 2 wheels!

Cindy Riley
(Dale's wife & Nate's mom) Cindy is the "behind the scenes" role in the
operations.  Cindy has prior experience with banking, website administration,
office management and is currently a licensed insurance agent (yep, she tells us
what we CAN'T do).  Cindy races too but is usually found in the sign up building or
at the finish line.

Lori Swingle
Lori shared Dave's dream of having a track back in Miami and dived in with both
feet to make sure that it continues to grow.  Lori is one of the board members and
presently is the Chairperson for the Advertising Committee for Miami BMX.  Lori
has been volunteered for everything from first aid to finish line and everything in
between!  Lori is also the mom to Miami BMX's first Intermediate and first Expert
racer, Super Sonic Seth Swingle.

Nathan Riley
(Dale & Cindy's son) Nathan started racing when he was 4 years old and has
been a very important member of our group.  Nathan comes on board and brings
with him the technology side by setting up our Facebook and Myspace pages, not
to mention he sends text message blasts to the kids in the community to keep
them up to date on the progress of the track.  Nathan and Dale are responsible
for the design of the track and Nathan has been involved since the beginning of
this adventure.  Nathan comes to our group as the voice of the riders and keeps
an objective opinion involved in the decision making process.
Who We Are

Established in 2009, we started out as 4 individuals who had either raced or had
kids that races and we were all united by the passion for the sport.

We invited Nathan to come aboard as the voice of the riders and act as the
liaison between the kids and the adults.  He has been instrumental in setting up
Facebook, Myspace and texting updates to the interested youth of the community.

What is Miami BMX?

Miami BMX is a Non-Profit organization started in 2009 to provide the youth and families of our
area (and visitors to our area) with a great place to experience BMX racing.

HISTORY:  Miami used to have a BMX track in the early 1980's.  When the track stopped operating
in the mid 80's the local riders had no place to turn unless they were willing and able to travel to
the Tulsa area or further.

Now the sport is on the rise again with the addition to the Olympics and the X-Games so what
better way to give our community the chance to experience this awesome sport than to build a
BMX track right here in our town!

The City of Miami, OK, the City Council and our community are all on board to help us take this
track to the next level.... to take this track......
